The company as a whole was very productive, great and professional. We worked very close to and especially with one another We had a great manager as well!! I really really miss working for this Great company I would've moved when they outsourced, but I had just started a family here in Atlanta Georgia!!!

Pros Great place to work!!! Cons None whatsoever. Best people to work with great manager and team lead and other staff member day to day tasks were assigned but no stress of work relax work environment. Pros Free coffee and refreshment. Cons none. This is no longer a place that promotes learning or cares about the employees.

You are just going to be a cog in a giant wheel that gets assigned additional work outside of your job description when others are RA'd - IBM speak for laid off. I wish I could say something positive about the company but I just really can't. Most employees are just trying to survive the next layoff.

Health insurance is extremely expensive and is practically unobtainable for individuals with a family. If you're looking to stay somewhere for the long haul, this is not it.

Senior leadership is a far cry from leadership. A far cry of what this company was historically. Pros Free coffee maybe. Cons Work late, work early, work on weekends you are doing the jobs of 2 or 3 people. Safe place to fail up. The less creative or willing you are to try new ideas, the better you will fit in at IBM. Pros No one knows what you do so you really have no responsibility. Cons Soul crushing meetings with pointless outcomes. New management has made working as a SOC analyst miserable.

Management has been making half-baked changes to our processes weekly and tool rulesets for months with no consideration of the workload it's putting on Tier 1 and Tier 2 analysts, then come down on us when we inevitably mess up. As a Tier 1 analyst at IBM you are the canary in the coal mine but also the punching bag. A Tier 1 analyst role will have you working 12 hour shifts and working multiple holidays with no compensation. Pros Plenty of free learning resources, they'll pay for your certification exams.

People did not mind sharing information and allowing you to shadow so that you could learn. A lot of this depends on the particular team you join. Pros Ability to WFH.
