Blessings to you and your family. My dear friend Lynn and Doug's daughter told me the most amazing, funny, and sweet stories about her dad. I know what a loving and caring man he was just to hear her talk about him. He was such a giving father and grandfather. My thoughts are with you all. Just about the best guy I had the pleasure of working with.

We share in your loss, and understand the pain of losing your loving Dad and husband. Our thoughts are with you. Ann, I was so sorry to hear about Doug's passing. I have such fond memories of how kind you both were to me after Phil died. The Mint trips we took to Seattle and Provence were so much fun and Doug was so kind and thoughtful.

Although I was traveling alone, I never felt alone because of your friendship. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this sad time. Doug was very special. A good friend, great man and gentle soul. An example for us all. A life well lived! Louis, I developed a tremendous admiration and respect for Doug in his approach to work and life in general. A tireless and tenacious investigator, Doug put a lot of racketeers in prison yet never saw a need to boast of his accomplishments.

One time at the FBI Academy for some in-service training, I saw Doug's name on a plaque honoring those who had achieved a perfect score on the pistol range - while he was in new agent training! This was extremely difficult to do, even for seasoned firearms instructors. Doug, of course, would never even bring this up. He had such a marvelous capacity to take things in stride. He was such a nice guy. It was a pleasure to work with him and socialize with him and Ann.

Even out here, thousands of miles away, I find it hard to believe he's gone. I will miss him a lot. I am going to miss you my friend. A gentleman, a halfway decent golfer that made me laugh, and an all around good person. Ann and family, I hope that you find comfort. Doug was one of the kindest people I've ever had the honor to know.

He was gentle and consistently thoughtful, with a wonderful and warm sense of humor. My prayers and condolences to the family. He will be missed! Ann, My condolences to you and your family. He was truly interested in all his childhood friends, and stayed in touch with many. Doug and Ann stayed at my home, at our big class reunion in I am so happy we all had such a wonderful time together.

This is the Doug and Ann I will always remember. Rest peacefully, dear friend. I had the pleasure of working with Doug for several years at Bank of America. Although I only came to know Doug at our retirement breakfasts, it only took one meeting to realize what a true gentleman he was. He will be sorely missed by all that had the good fortune to know him. Doug was a wonderful man with a gentle demeanor and obvious love of life. He quietly made the world a better place and enriched the lives of those who were fortunate enough to spend time with him.
